Being big hockey fans, Sean, Kyle, and Elijah got to their next site in Manitoba and splurged on the room with the biggest TV in town to watch the Blackhawks - Ducks game. Once the guys find 20 more Golden-winged Warblers, and hopefully no more hybrids, at this site they'll be on their way back to Minnesota.

You can't get much better looking vegetation than this if you want to find Golden-winged Warblers. It's only missing one thing... the birds. A different group sampled a bunch of Golden-wings in this region almost 20 years ago. With the breeding range moving north, and the habitat looking like this, we thought for sure we would find them all over the place. The guys will try other sites in this area tomorrow before reconsidering the plan and maybe moving back south.
